Text Box: Paul Reichstein hails from South Australia where he earned a degree in Drama from the prestigious Flinders University Drama Centre in 2000. His first acting gig out of university was as Brian in the American TV film shot in South Australia entitled Disappearance (2002) opposite Harry Hamlin and Susan Dey. Following a guest spot on the hit Australian TV series McLeod’s Daughters, he decided to move to Melbourne to further pursue his acting. As Paul says “when I was out of work in Adelaide I was depressed, when I’m out of work in Melbourne I’m slightly less depressed.” Reichstein has also appeared in Blue Heelers, as a Young Father in a heavily played TV commercial for Heinz Baby Food as well as various short films and theatre.

Sean Scully is the most experienced campaigner in Missive. Beginning as a child actor following on from actress mother Margaret Christensen, Scully performed in a trio of Walt Disney productions including Almost Angels (1962). He returned to Australia in the late 1960s where he has enjoyed a film and television career ever since. His television credits include Riptide, Matlock Police, Homicide, Division 4, The Sullivans, Sons and Daughters, Prisoner, Phoenix, Pacific Drive, and more recently Neighbours to name but a few. Scully received an AFI Award Nomination for Best Actor in 1988 for his performance in the film Phobia (1990). Among his extensive list of film appearances are the classic Australian films Sunday Too Far Away, Eliza Fraser, Cactus (with Isabelle Huppert) and the lead in Daisy and Simon. Sean Scully is considered a member of Australia’s list of seminal performers who has been around since the beginning.

The naturally beautiful, multi-talented Michelle Cele describes her acting career as somewhat fortuitous. Claiming she got into acting “by mistake” when she accompanied her husband to an acting workshop for moral support. He didn’t like it but Michelle did, which has lead to a variety of film and TV appearances including Neighbours and more notably as Mother in the “You Know They Got a Hell of a Band” segment of Nightmares and Dreamscapes: From the Stories of Stephen King (2006). Michelle has also appeared in the sci-fi thriller Parallels (2006) and the short film spoofing the filmmaking process entitled The Trial of Film (2006) (both directed by Ben Warner of Digicosm). Maybe acting is a mistake she can live with following her initial success. To add to her acting talents, Michelle is also a still photographer most recently performing such duties for Erwin Films’ Desolation Angels (2006).

Andy McPhee would have to be one of the hardest working Australian actors going around. Originally from Adelaide, Andy moved to Melbourne to pursue his acting career. Among his many acting credits are Roy Holsdotter Live, Bad Eggs, Tom White, You and Your Stupid Mate, Wolf Creek, Opal Dream, Nightmares and Dreamscapes: From the Stories of Stephen King, Book of Revelation, and The Condemned . Andy’s daughter Sianoa Smit-McPhee is a regular on Neighbours as Bree Timmins and his son Kodi Smit-McPhee has recently appeared in Romulus, My Father opposite Eric Bana and Franka Potente.

Heidy Medloby recently spent a year in Canada where she made appearances in George Romero’s Land of the Dead (2005) and the hit television series Queer as Folk. Upon her arrival back in Melbourne, Heidy inquired about the role of Lynn Boyle in Missive (2007).
